I have visited this unique church in Iceland many times. On my recent trip I visited it again and decided to shoot it with the iPhone and Hipstamaticapp. Iceland has some beautiful churches. Most are small and quaint but a few are really cool the way they are designed. This is one of them.

Round Tower In Copenhagen
I was in Copenhagen about a month ago to see a new camera launch. While there I played tourist and walked the city. I visited many of my favorite locations. The Round Tower is one of those places. This tower was apparently built by some king hundreds of years ago so he could drive his carriage up the tower and look out on the city. I guess he was too lazy to climb stairs. The wide roadway in the tower as well as the light spilling in the windows makes this a great place to find an interesting image. This was an iPhone shot.
Sometimes I Have Other Fun
Ok, it’s no secret I have a real joy for taking photographs and spend just about all my waking days working on something related to my passion. The Luminous-Landscape web site keeps me busy, working on future workshops takes time and writing takes times. So, once in a while I need to go out and do something to relax. There is nothing like Power Washing to satisfy that need and release my tensions. This is a shot of me with my newest man tool – power washer.
iPhone Fun
I still have a lot of fun using my iPhone even when my big boy camera is hanging around my neck. This was a quick snap I made in Copenhagen . I kind if liked the whole street scene thing and especially the little girl running around the fountain. Dressed the image up in SnapSeed.
It’s Pixel
This is my cat and as the author of this blog every now and then I take a chance and share something personal. My cat will e a year old in a little over a month. This show was made when she was eight weeks old. Her personality and such were quite evident even then. Her name is Pixel and she has shown and taught me more about love and living than I would have ever thought possible from a cat. A very special creature.
Bull Ring Water Cart
I was visiting my good friend Micahel Reichmann in San Miguel Mexico and across the street from him is a bull fighting ring. It’s kind of funny as it sits in the middle of a neighborhood. This is a shot of a cool looking water cart they drag around the bull ring to keep the dust down.
iPhone Is A Camera Too
Sometimes when traveling I just want to have fun taking photos. A year ago I was n Copenhagen on business and I took an early morning walk. How could I resist as it was very foggy and that makes for some interesting images. While I had my big boy camera with me, I thought I would try some shots with Hipstamatic and the iPhone. How cool! This is one of those images of a woman walking through the square where the royal family lives. her red hair, the fog and the design in the bricks makes this shot work.
BW Classic From Saugatuck, Michigan
A number of years ago I decided to head out for a weekend adventure up the west coast of Michigan. I thought I would shoot sleepy little villages and lighthouses. As I was driving up the Blue Star Highway I saw this ship off to my left. I stopped and shot it and have been doing so until last Summer when they took the ship to Canada to refurbish it and make it a museum. I also discovered a wonderfully peaceful town there Saugutuck. This is an artsy village with bed and breakfasts places, galleries and a unique charm. Put it on your must visit list.
Rose
This past week I traveled from Indianapolis to Toronto and then to San Francisco and eventually back to Indy. I made a visit to a friend and fellow photographers home and he ad a Rose garden. So, I got my iPhone out and did some quick shots of the roses. If I publish flowers I usually try to make them look different. I tried to make this one different too. I hope you like it.
Red
As with some other recently posted images this is another shot at the Carmel, Auto show. I tried looking for a shot where I could use color and one element of the car. I ended up with a number of good candidates, but this one I choose to publish first. This shot I aimed the camera straight down and caught a bit of my reflection (which was cool) but more of the perfect paint job, pure red and the running light. It just feels good.
