One of the most beautiful National Parks in America is Olympic National Park a short drive from Seattle. This was taken on the western part in the Hoh Rain Forrest. Shot with a Phase One IQ180 and a long shutter then worked a bit in post processing. A bit if a different look that works.
It will be 104 in Indianapolis today. Good day to stay in and watch a Clint Eastwood marathon. Too hot to venture out so I will clean the house, do some Phase One stuff, make prints, and play with my kitten. I will make a pitcher of lemonade and stay as cool as I can. Today’s shot is from an iceberg in Iceland. I think I should have stayed there. I like their climate a lot at least this time of year.
We are having another 100 plus degree day in Indianapolis today. And, one more forecasted for tomorrow. So, let’s enjoy a shot from the Gullett in Antarctica where is was cold and beautiful. This was one of the most magical places I have ever visited. Mirror flat water reflecting snow covered mountains. Truly a once in a lifetime view.
I live in Indianapolis and like a lot of the US we are just dying in a major heat wave that will not go away. Temperatures are forecasted in the 100 plus range for the next two days. So, I am sending cold thoughts and will publish nothing but ice shots until this weather breaks. This is an iceberg from Antarctica.
I love wandering different antique markets, stores and wherever else looking for the unusual. What I find is usually something rusty and maybe colorful. This was at a small antique store near Saugatuck MI. I used my iPhone and shot this with Hipstamatic. Tight cropping and colors work.
This is another image from large library of clot cannon images. This was done at Lower Antelope canyon and shot with a Phase One P45+. This camera is capable of long exposures with great success. These canyons are so cool. As light comes down from below some of the colors are absorbed by the orange sandstone and lots of blue is left in the light to hight light some of the area. I just love the way all this color works.
Buenos Aires is a very interesting city to visit. Beautiful and sometimes dangerous but also mysterious. The shipyard area which is dangerous so I am told is cool place to take pictures but probably not the greatest place to visit. No one told me that though. So, liking rust and all I came across docks full of rusty boats and if they weren’t at the docks someone drove them down the river, grounded them and walked away. An awful lot of junk and rust and you know how I like rust. This is one of the resting hulks. Always wish I knew the back story. How did it get there, when, why etc.
The Masons have a very mysterious reputation with stories and legends to amaze all of us. The Masonic Temple in Indianapolis is just one of those mysterious place. the building is grand and the main hall is grand. But, there is a whole huge building across the parking lot with only one door in and no windows. I really want to go in there and see what it is, but you need to be some special member for that. The legend continues. This was 5 Phase One P65+ images stitched together.
