This is an image I made when visiting Norway. What a beautiful country. Full of mountains, fiords, and waterfalls. I love the whole shot here with the waterfall, cloud and steam. Shot with a P65+.

Rain Forrest Magic
One of the most beautiful National Parks in America is Olympic National Park a short drive from Seattle. This was taken on the western part in the Hoh Rain Forrest. Shot with a Phase One IQ180 and a long shutter then worked a bit in post processing. A bit if a different look that works.
Another Waterfall
Well get used to it, you re going to see a lot of waterfalls and ice pictures in the coming weeks. I worked on this image and feel it really popped in black and white. This is one of many waterfalls shot in Iceland. I opted in this case not to slow the water down too much as I wanted to illustrate the force of the water coming off the falls and through gorge.
Behind The Falls
The waterfalls in Icealnd are spectacular. This waterfall Seliansfoss is one almost every visitor sees when in Iceland so the trick is making it look different. This waterfall ou can actually walk behind it. You’ll get wet but you will get a shot and if the sun is going down it even gets better.
The Falls
Every time I come to Iceland I stop at this location and shoot these falls. You may notice they are the header sot for my blog. I have a new set of falls to replace the header soon. This shot was taken the other day and was made from 3 stitched images from an IQ180 and 28mm lens. This has been an amazing trip to Iceland this time. After two weeks I head home tomorrow.
The Iceland Adventure Continues
After a day of gale force winds and rain the weather cleared and we got into the photography part of this Iceland PODAS at 150%. We were on the rode Sunday at 2AM, yes 2AM and we didn’t stop until 11PM that night. We covered a lot of ground. We explored and photographed the coastline of Snaefellsnes Peninsula. There was a black church with a sunrise behind it, a small fishing village, spectacular coastline and more. We then moved onward towards Hvolsvollur where will stay one night. In the evening we explored Seljalandsfoss falls. On Monday we will explore the coastline near Vik and Dyrholaey and then head towards Skaftafell where we will spend the next three days. Today as we head out we are expecting to be photographing way into the next morning as we do sunset and sunrise at the Glacial Lagoon and beach at Jokulsarlon. In the coming days we have more waterfalls and spectacular mountain settings to photograph. We will also be doing some more classroom lectures. As with all PODAS workshops the agenda is packed and non-stop.
A Bit More Of Iceland
I leave Monday for Iceland. Postings here may be limited as I will have limited internet connections where I will be traveling. This is the base of a waterfall in Iceland. There are so many and here I tried to capture the beauty of the falls as it reaches bottom and cascades off of the rocks.
Iceland Land Of Such Beauty
In May of this year I am leading another Phase One PODAS workshop to the beautiful country of Iceland. This is a magnificent country with such beauty it is hard to describe but easy to appreciate. Even the horses are art. This shot was done on one of the main roads around Iceland. here are a lot of spots like this so it is hard to get too far without wanting to jump out of the car and shoot another image. If you are interested in going me on my workshop you can learn more information HERE.
Olympic Falls
I have been doing scouting for an upcoming workshop for PODAS in the fall this weekend. I have traveled most of Olympic National Park in a fast find and time it trip. This means I drive the routes we will take and time the drives so we can fit these excursions into what is a usually tight PODAS workshop schedule. I did find some time to make some exposures. Here’s one of some waterfalls near Lake Quinault. More to come. Heading back to Seattle today and then home on Tuesday for a few days before heading off to Denmark. It’s going to be a very year of travel and picture taking.
Tranquil
This is a very simple but effective image made in Rickets Glen, PA. Fall colors, slow moving creek and a slight drag to the shutter. This was made on a P65 60MP camera and I have made some very large prints of it and they are tack sharp. It is a great wall photo.
