One of the most magical and photographic places I can think of is New Zealand. I love NZ and it’s no wonder the Hobit is filmed here. There are some of the coolest places anywhere to shoot pictures. This one is one of my favorites. It’s about an hours drive from Queenstown.

Tanah Lot Temple
Two years ago I lead a workshop in Bali. We visited some amazing location and one of these was the Tanah Lot Temple. This temple is joined to the land by a rock and can only be accessed at low tide. Sunsets here are spectacular.
It’s Been A Cold Winter
Today is a spring like day. Tomorrow we are supposed to get 3 inches of snow. This is the way I pinch myself so I am ready for the cold again.
Rusty Abstract
Been very busy on a numb rod projects and haven’t done os well this past week keeping up with the posts here. I was once again going through my old images and came upon one I like a lot. This is from a project I am still working on called Rusty Abstracts. Rust and old peeling paint make for some great images.
Old Irish School House
I was going through and doing cataloging of some of my images from the last few years and stumbled upon this one. I have a ton of older images that I have made a vow to get organized. So, this an abandoned school house that sits on a hill and overlooks the ocean. The location is beautiful. If I was a student at this school I would have been day dreaming of big ocean adventures everyday. Guess they abandoned it because none of the students could concentrate on school work.
Lupens In The Spring
I love New Zealand. If I won the lottery I’d probably run off to this amazing land. I get to New Zealand about once a year. Usually in early December when it is their spring time. all over the countryside are amazing wildflowers and especially Lupens. You can stop by a river shore and spend hours shooting these beautiful flowers. Today’s shot is of Lupens made on my last visit.
Bali Coastline
When you think of Bali you probably think of beaches and resorts. Bali is so much more. As you get into the interior of Bali you discover temples and small picturesque villages. Then there is the coastline and interesting beaches and cliffs. This part of the coastline where I was trying out some long exposures.
Reflections Of Copenhagen
One of my favorite cities to visit is Copenhagen. There is so much to like, such as great foo, super friendly people and a unique charm unlike any other city. I absolutely love walking the city and taking pictures. I usually leave a day just for this activity when doing business there. The shot above was made photographing a reflection in one of the canals. You always have tone looking. It’s amazing what is right in front of us.
The Black Church
This is a famous church in Iceland. Just about every photographer visiting Iceland has photographed this church. So, I try to find something a little bit different. This was made form a six image stitch using long lens. Phase One IQ180.
Australia Color
Australia is n amazing country. I am blessed to have many friends (mates) there. I usually spend a few weeks a year there photographing. This is form one of my trips and it was shot in one of the many gorges in central Australia. Shot with a Phase One IQ180 and I liked the rock n the foreground, the color of the background with the unique looking tree.
