I love the town square in San Miguel. It’s beautifully landscaped and there is always some kind of activity going on there. Vendors, locals, tourists and more all make this little spot a photographers paradise. I enjoy shooting the locals. This image was kind of cool as it a show shine guy. I loved the way the guy has a hand on his customers boot like he is making a point about something. (Most likely the gringo taking his picture). And the guy on the bench is cool too. Wonder what they were discussing.

Ruins, Atotonilco, Mexico
A short drive outside of San Miguel, Mexico is a small town with a big church, Atotonilco, Mexico. There is like in all parts of the area a lot to shoot. The church interior itself is a site to behold. I’ll most likely post an image of the church in the not so distant future. This image was made a block away from the church looking towards the church over some ruins. There seems to be a lot of ruins around Mexico and they always make for some great images. This one I thought looked kind of apocalyptic.
Manmade Landscape New Zealand
Sometimes it is not the majestic landscape that is picturesque, but it is the manmade landscape. This is a shot of the Cromwell Dam in New Zealand.
Not That I am Vain
It’s not too often one gets to travel to the edge of the planet. UI am very fortunate to have traveled to many edges of the planet and one of my favorite is Earnslaw Burn in New Zealand. I had my friend and instructor on the PODAS workshop take a picture of me there. Think I’ll give this to my mon for Christmas. It has been an amazing time in New Zealand with so many good images that I’ll be editing for the winter. Now it is head home in a few days for the Holidays then it is off to Bangkok and China in January.
Nevis Valley
This is an image made in Nevis Valley one of the many places we will be shooting over the next 6 days at the PODAS workshop. Check back often to see more images from this amazing trip and country.
An Afternoon Of Fun
I am in New Zealand as you probably know. We start a PODAS workshop on Monday and we have been doing prep work for the workshop. The gear arrived this morning and everything is in order. So, this afternoon Drew, Collin and myself headed out to take photos. We found lots of nice locations, and this image is one of the ones I liked best. We have a whole week coming up shooting incredible spots so keep watching for more.
New Zealand Sunrise
After nearly 30 hours of travel I arrived in New Zealand dead tired. So I crashed early and then awoke at 5AM to witness a beautiful sunrise. So I sat in my sweats and took photos from the deck of the house we are using in Queenstown.
