This is a stairway shooting down from the top floor at the Iceland Hilton Hotel. There is something that just works with the perspective and shadows. Takes a minute to figure out. SSHot with Olympus OMD and 14-54 zoom.

Watering The Horses
This is another image from the same lake as the two proceeding images. This cowboy walked his horses down to the lake for a drink. While he was there I lined up the shot with the trees in the background and then if one cue these birds flew into the frame. What a great lucky oportunity. Shot with the Nikon D800e and 70-200mm zoom.
Rowers In Mexico
As in my previous post I am going to share two photos today from my Mexico trip. here are images of fishermen in the same lake. The combination of background, backlighting and birds and trees make for two very strong ages.
Trees
Somewhere deep in Mexico Michael Reichmann, Lars Svanstrom and myself wandered around for a few days this past week seeking out new and unusual locations that not too many gringos probably ever visit. We think we hit pay dirt. we are coming back with some magnificent images and we’re very excited about what we found. It was a cultural adventure too. We saw ow many people in the very rural areas live. What was so amazing is how nice everyone was and how well they treated us. Handshakes and smiles were the norm. So for the next few days enjoy some of my images from Mexico. This image was made along a lake from a high angle. I loved the look, reflections and birds.
Magic Of San Miguel
I am in beautiful San Miguel doing some Luminous-landscape business and shooting whenever possible this beautiful city and region. I’ll be out with my business partner Michael Reichmann for the next few days exploring some great Mexican Landscapes. Look for upcoming images. Todays image was made in San Miguel yesterday while walking to lunch. I just loves the light, the subject and what they were doing. No matter who you meet here they all seem happy. Very festive place. More images will be coming.
Lupens In The Spring
I love New Zealand. If I won the lottery I’d probably run off to this amazing land. I get to New Zealand about once a year. Usually in early December when it is their spring time. all over the countryside are amazing wildflowers and especially Lupens. You can stop by a river shore and spend hours shooting these beautiful flowers. Today’s shot is of Lupens made on my last visit.
Bali Coastline
When you think of Bali you probably think of beaches and resorts. Bali is so much more. As you get into the interior of Bali you discover temples and small picturesque villages. Then there is the coastline and interesting beaches and cliffs. This part of the coastline where I was trying out some long exposures.
Two Incredible Trips Just Announced To The Land Of The Polar Bear
Today I have announced two very specialized workshops to the northern polar regions in July. I traveled to the Svalbard region last summer and was blown away by the amazing landscape and wildlife. I photographed polar bears on 15 separate encounters. Just incredible is the only way to describe it. You can view my images from this past summer by selecting the Svalbard Gallery from the Gallery Menu above. If you are interested in an amazing adventure to an amazing part of the planet then register today. More information can be found HERE.
Slot Canyons
Everyone loves shooting the slot canyons in and near Page, AZ. Me included, yet I always try to see these magnificent locations differently. I shoot tight, and I look up a lot. I also think square. I have managed to get what I consider some unique images of the canyons. This one is not that unique but it is a nice looking tight shot Canyon X. Shot with an Olympus OMD.
