In November I will travel back to Monument Valley for the second time this year. I’ll be leading a workshop using Phase One medium format digital IQ160 cameras and we will be shooting some amazing places. I have arranged for Indian Guides to takes us to some places that most people never go. We will also be visiting the slot canyons in Page, AZ. PODAS trips are all about learning about how to see and shoot great landscapes. You’ll also learn workflow and have a great time. All expenses except airfare getting there are covered. You just bring a tripod, CF cards and a laptop, we do everything else. Check It Out CLICK HERE. This is image taken on the way to Monument Valley. We’ll have the opportunity to shoot this location and many others.

Red
As with some other recently posted images this is another shot at the Carmel, Auto show. I tried looking for a shot where I could use color and one element of the car. I ended up with a number of good candidates, but this one I choose to publish first. This shot I aimed the camera straight down and caught a bit of my reflection (which was cool) but more of the perfect paint job, pure red and the running light. It just feels good.
It’s A Jag
This is another image I made at the recent Carmel, IN automobile show. I like looking at things differently, try to catch the essence of the classic cars but doing it from different angles than others. THis shot I feel defines what a jag is all about.
Trains
I have a collection of images made in old and abandoned trains. I try something new once in a while and sometimes an idea works. This shot was made of multiple images stitched manually together to form this picture. This was a from a number of train cars I found abandoned in a filed not to far from my home. They have since been moved and no longer there. It was such great place to shoot in once and a while.
