This is the first in a series of stairways I have been photographing around the world. This was shot in an old library in New Orleans.

I always have my camera with me. When visiting a hotel in Iceland I went to the elevator bank and while waiting looked down the stairway there. This is what I saw. what a great abstract. I shot it and then converted it into BW for this image.

This is a stairway shooting down from the top floor at the Iceland Hilton Hotel. There is something that just works with the perspective and shadows. Takes a minute to figure out. SSHot with Olympus OMD and 14-54 zoom.
