Pixel

Hey, it’s my website and every now and then I will share a personal photo or two.  This is one of those days.  I present my furry friend Pixel.  She’s an incredibly lovable cat.  She gets me and I get her.  I sometimes feel like we are in tune with each other.  I got her a small sick kitten.  It was touch and go for a while but I was a big part of nursing her back to health.  We bonded really well and today she is my little and very loving cat buddy.

Meet Jupiter

I never thought I would be a cat person.  Then about 5 years ago Pixel picked me as her human.  Wasn’t looking yo be a cat human but she insisted.  Pixel is an amazing and magical cat.  Hard to describe her except she is different and beautiful.  A month or so ago Debra decided that she wanted to replace a cat that had died recently.   So, we went cat shopping at Jupiter picked us.  He’s a boy, not afraid of anything and loves to play.  He loves hanging with his humans and cuddles with us a lot.  He’s going to be a cool cat. The photo says it all.

Pixel, My Cat at 8 weeks old
Pixel, My Cat at 8 weeks old

This is my cat and as the author of this blog every now and then I take a chance and share something personal.  My cat will e a year old in a little over a month.  This show was made when she was eight weeks old.  Her personality and such were quite evident even then.  Her name is Pixel and she has shown and taught me more about love and living than I would have ever thought possible from a cat.  A very special creature.

Pixel The Cat
Pixel The Cat

Pixel is now 9 months old. I never intended to have a cat. Never even thought I was a cat person. Then while visiting the Humane Society of Indianaplois with Debra to help her select a cat I saw this cute kitten in one of the cages. I asked if I could see her and they took her out of the cage. She was only 8 weeks old and so tiny I could hold here in the palm of my hand. She looked at me, big intense eyes, then she closed them as only a cat could do when they were content, and she had me. She had a rough start and was quite sick for a week a few days after I got her home, but she is a fighter and has grown into an incredible beautiful and loving animal. This cat and I have become one. She has changed my life with her spirit, adventures, and her ability to know when it is time to give her affection. She plays fetch with rubber bands, explores everything, has her own language and is quite the talker and does funny things that make me laugh. She has made me a better person. Who would have known? And, with what I do there was not a better name than Pixel. I guess you can tell I am a proud daddy.
