The Stories This Plane Could Tell

Junked Plane, Alaska

This is an image I shot in Alaska. What a great and wonderful state to photograph in. There is a certain quirkiness found there. You drive down the roads and strange things just present themselves. On one of my trips to Denali I took a moment to shoot off to an old train museum.  Where else can I find rust and decay?  While I enjoyed shooting there, next door I found an airplane junk yard. And in this junk yard was just an old plane cockpit. I don’t know where the rest of the plane was, but this is the shot of the cockpit. Kind of has a lot to say.

On The Way To Monument Valley

In November I will travel back to Monument Valley for the second time this year.  I’ll be leading a workshop using Phase One medium format digital IQ160 cameras and we will be shooting some amazing places.  I have arranged for Indian Guides to takes us to some places that most people never go.  We will also be visiting the slot canyons in Page, AZ.  PODAS trips are all about learning about how to see and shoot great landscapes.  You’ll also learn workflow and have a great time.  All expenses except airfare getting there are covered.  You just bring a tripod, CF cards and a laptop, we do everything else.  Check It Out CLICK HERE.  This is image taken on the way to Monument Valley.  We’ll have the opportunity to shoot this location and many others.
